De Bethune has reinterpreted the iconic DB25: Unveiled at Geneva Watch Days 2025, the strikingly compact DB25xs Starry Varius features a sky stained red by the fires of the earth.
Exploring the color spectrum of natural titanium oxide using the Manufacture's unique heat treatment process, De Bethune chose a warm, intense hue to depict the nighttime spectacle of a volcanic eruption.

The artisans at the L'Auberson workshop bring exceptional skill and meticulous care to the hand-decoration of the mirror-polished titanium dial. Their dexterity allows each white gold needle to be set into microscopic holes of varying sizes, vividly depicting the poetic starry sky. They then used laser micro-milling technology to create a galaxy pattern inlaid into 24K gold leaf. Like all Maison's starlight dials, this new Starry Sky watch can be personalized to a specific location and date.
40mm, the epitome of elegance
In its constant pursuit of wrist comfort, De Bethune's classic collection was initially launched in a 44mm size. In 2078, it underwent an aesthetic revamp with a slimmer 42mm case and redesigned lugs.
The DB25 collection continues its evolution with the introduction of the new 40mm Starry Varius watch. To retain the refinement of its original design, this streamlined interpretation required a complete rethinking of the watch's aesthetic balance.
Denis Flageollet says, "It was important to maintain the beautiful dial window so that the observer could fully immerse themselves in the starry night sky, thus preserving the aura of Starry Varius."

DB2005: A More Powerful Movement
On the back, the double-anti-reflective sapphire caseback reveals the exquisite craftsmanship of the DB2005 manual-winding movement, which utilizes the latest De Bethune technology.
The DB25xs Starry Varius watch features a flat terminal-curved balance spring, a silicon escapement wheel and shock-absorbing system, and the brand's latest balance wheels in titanium and white gold. All of these patents and innovations are designed with a modern spirit to adapt to today's wearing environment, protecting against magnetic fields, shocks, and accelerations, ultimately achieving superior timekeeping accuracy and long-term reliable performance.
